    Live Updates

SG: Canara Bank papers were distributed at 12 centres. Out of 12 centres, 4 centres replaced the papers with SBI papers, thus 8 centres question paper from Canara Bank was used.

    • 23 July 2024 7:15 AM GMT

CJI: what about those who were given the Canara Bank paper ?

    • 23 July 2024 7:12 AM GMT

SG submitted that a proportionate formula similar to CLAT was applied

SG: same methodology was applied , based on what they scored and the time lost

CJI: everybody did not get same compensatory marks ?

      SG: No

    • 23 July 2024 7:11 AM GMT

SG: so the student was given a choice to accept the results minus the compensatory marks. So student had a choice why would I take a chance and score less in restest or gamble by appearing again.

    • 23 July 2024 7:09 AM GMT

SG: but nothing but turn on this my lord, why do only 813 appear? suppose I am a student and I got only 2.5 hours and did not complete my paper, I am a Brilliant student (let's suppose). I will not choose to go for a chance of a re-test. The option was either you accept your result given in less time or you perform a re-test.

    • 23 July 2024 7:07 AM GMT

SG : But out of 1563 only 813 appeared

    • 23 July 2024 7:07 AM GMT

CJI: when was the re-test held?

      SG: 23rd June 2024

    • 23 July 2024 7:07 AM GMT

CJI: why were they did not given full time ?

SG: essentially because of the wrong paper been given initially ...

CJI: they were given either the Canara Bank paper or maybe those with different medium of instruction also

    • 23 July 2024 7:06 AM GMT

SG: they were given grace marks initially. thereafter re-test was done, from 6 centres.

CJI: these are the candidates who got compensatory marks for getting the wrong paper?

SG: no they could not get the 3.2 hours, full time

    • 23 July 2024 7:06 AM GMT

SG: we taken 56000 and 1.8Lakhs because the petitioners only argued on that basis

CJI; we would like to see the 1563 candidates
