    The Supreme Court will hear today the petitions seeking to cancel the NEET UG 24 exam for paper leak and other malpractices.

    A bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra will hear the matters at 10.30 AM.

    On the previous date (July 18), the Court directed the NTA to publish the centre-wise results, to ascertain if there is any abnormal spike in performance in centres, especially the centres where paper leak is suspected.

    The bench also indicated that it is likely to conclude the matter today

      Hooda : They do not authenticate address. Anyone can write any address and choose any centre.

      CJI : A student can choose any centre in any part of the country and you don't have to submit any documents?

      Hooda : Absolutely no.

      Hooda : As per their system, if I am a resident of TN and I want a centre in Sikar, I can simply write address of Sikar.

      Hooda : People have travelled from Odisha and Karnataka to Godhra. One girl who got over 700 marks failed in Class 12.

      Hooda : The difference in data declared on 4th of June and 20th of July - see Bihar -there is difference of 13,000 in the number of appearances. So many numbers reduced.

      CJI (summarising Hooda's submission) : Kota and Sikar have both equal students appearing. 38 out of 50 centres which have students with more than 650 marks are from Sikar. 6 are from Mahendragarh, Rewari.

      Hooda : After anaylsing the data, there are certain centres which are doing exceedingly well. Not students but centres. Both Kota and Sikar have equal number of students appearing. If we calculate top centres in country where students get more that 650 marks, 38 out of 50 centres are only from Sikar.

      CJI : How soon after the exam concludes the sealing takes places?

      Hooda : This I could not find in their entire SOP.

      Hooda : What is the time when the OMR sheet is to be sealed? It is not mentioned. It keeps lying in the Centre. There is no procedure which NTA has prescribed. If 5.20 the OMR sheets are collected, they have to be selaed at 5.30.

      Hooda : In Sikar, there are 49 centres. Out of 49, one is Kendriya Vidyalalaya. Rest all are private schools. All their coordinators, invigilators are private individuals. They have shown photos of a school in a village where exam was conducted, it does not even have a boundary wall.

      Hooda : In Hardayal school, the student who got 719 marks and the rank was 68. After re-test, the rank is 58,000. Now they don't know whether Canara bank paper or SBI paper was given. On 4th June, ony SBI key was given. On 4th June, they did not disclose grace marks were given

      Hooda : With regard to Jhajjar, in first response they said Canara bank paper was given and evaluated. Now they say no grace marks was given and extra time was given. Who took the decision?
