Ten Additional Judges Of Karnataka High Court, Two From Kerala High Court Made Permanent

The Central Government has notified the appointment of ten judges from the Karnataka High Court and two from the Kerala High Court as permanent judges of the respective high courts.
The two Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court who have been made permanent are:
1. Justice M.R. Anitha, and
2. Justice K. Nair Haripal.
The ten additional judges from the Karnataka High Court who have been made permanent are:
1. Justice Shivashankar Amarannavar,
2. Justice M. Ganeshaiah Uma,
3. Justice Vedavyasachar Srishananda,
4. Justice Hanchate Sanjeevkumar,
5. Justice Padmaraj Nemachandra Desai,
6. Justice P. Krishna Bhat,
7. Justice Maralur Indrakumar Arun,
8. Justice Engalaguppe Seetharamaiah Indiresh,
9. Justice Ravi Venkappa Hosmani, and
10.Justice Savanur Vishwajith Shetty.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court Collegium had issued statements recommending that the aforementioned additional judges be made permanent judges of the respective high courts.
The two judges from the Kerala high Court were appointed as additional judges in March and May, 2020, respectively.
Justices Indrakumar Arun, Indiresh and Hosmani were appointed as additional judges in January, 2020. Justice Shetty was appointed in April, 2020.
The other six judges, namely Justices Amarannavar, Uma, Srishananda, Sanjeevkumar, Desai, and Bhat were appointed as additional judges in May, 2020.
