    The Supreme Court will continue hearing the case concerning the minority status of the Aligarh Muslim University.

    A 7-judge Constitution Bench comprising the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Surya Kant, Justice JB Pardiwala, Justice Dipankar Datta, Justice Manoj Misra and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma will hear the matter.

      CJI : when the 81 amendment comes does it take away Basha both in relation to establishment and .. we'll have to deal with it separately, its not a question its a suggestion..

      NK Kaul: the establishment of AMU by then colonial British govt is finding based on fact that the MAO college was dissolved, AMU was established by the then central govt. and not the Muslims , after detailed negotiations and giving up many rights as an institution that they may have possessed ... now by deletion of the word established and amending the word university you cannot remove the basis of Basha which recognised the historical fact and that was not laid down as law by Basha but held to be a fact
