NTA : The number of candidates who got Canara bank paper are (slightly over 3000).

    • 22 July 2024 6:18 AM GMT

CJI : So at Jhajjar, students write the Canara bank for full time..what happened exactly?

NTA counsel : Jhajjar was a new centre. Perhaps the city coordinator may not have seen the message, as a result it got picked up from both places.

CJI : Are the banks not informed that you don't have to release? Canara bank wasn't told they are not to release?

SG : Message goes to the bank.

CJI : So how did the centre-in-charge at Jhajjar go to Canara bank?

NTA : It was a mistake, both on the part of coordinator and the bank.

CJI : How did this chap at Jhajjar go to the Canara bank to collect the papers?

SG : May be a mistake.

Hooda : Hardayal school distributed Canara bank paper.

      CJI : For how long?

Hooda : Entire time, there was no delay. When Canara bank paper is not to be given, how come it was given? Then what is the mechanism? Principal says he got papers from both the banks.

    • 22 July 2024 6:10 AM GMT

Hooda : 24th of April the despatch happened they say. 3rd of May the paper reaches the bank. So between 24-3rd May, the papers remained in the hands of private players.

Hooda : Taking example of Hardayal School Jhajjar, principal goes to both the banks and takes papers. Paper from Canara bank is distributed. When it appeared that there are six students who get 720/720, two get 719 and 718, it was asked how from one centre so many toppers. Then NTA gave a statement that they were given grace marks as there was delay. But principal says there was no delay and Canara bank paper was distributed. But SBI paper had to be distributed.

CJI : We don't have any material so far to show the leak was so widespread and spread across the country.

    • 22 July 2024 6:04 AM GMT

CJI : Even so, we have to see if the leak is localised and confined only to Hazaribagh and Patna or whether it is widespread and systemic.

    • 22 July 2024 6:04 AM GMT

SG : As and when they started solving the papers, they started giving. They did not give in one go. First was Biology, then Physics and Chemistry.

Sr Adv Hegde : Please read Anurag Yadav. He is the student. Rest are all gang members.

CJI : Anurag Yadav says he got it on the night of 4th.

SG : They bifurcated the papers and each had 25-30 questions. 25 questions, with computers and books can be easily solved.

SG : We compared the success rate of this particular centre and State with previous years' results. There is no abnormality.

SG : I am told for this work, students are better prepared.

CJI : Some are from AIIMS Patna, some from Ranchi and from Rajasthan.
