      Justice DY Chandrachud :  Did the union govt undertake any exercise for implementation of EWS ? 2. If there was a criteria, it was of Maj general Sinho. We haven’t seen that report. The commission for EWS had recommended that for all families below BPL has income which falls below tax slab should be under EWS. Then how can you say 8 lakh limit is based on seno commission report

      Additional Solicitor General KM Nataraj submitting that the benchmark for creamy layer was  was 6 lakh. Now it’s 8 lakh. ASG says that the same criteria for creamy layer will be applied for EWS.
