      SG: Please see the FIR.

Bench: Then we can proceed against those persons who have taken law into their hands.

Bench: We have skipped lunch. We are not in a hurry. If we have lunch, we will be sluggish.

Bench: We will make it very clear that we don’t appreciate dharnas. But, if CM or Law Minister takes law into their hands, should the accused suffer because of it ?

    • 25 May 2021 9:41 AM GMT

SG: This has been done several times. What is required not opportunity, but reasonable opportunity. There is a judgment on this too. My PP is in the CBI office and cannot come. The accused come and say this is false. I have photographs and videos.

    • 25 May 2021 9:41 AM GMT

      Luthra: No notice, nothing.

SG: See, Dr. Singhvi is so happy.

Bench: Liberty which is granted to a citizen can be deprived if you don’t give notice to him.

SG: The matter was then adjourned to 19th May. That day before we could start arguing - no notice to anyone, no adjudication of facts.

Bench: Before you make this submissions, was the order given to accused ?

    • 25 May 2021 9:39 AM GMT

SG reads the 17th May order: People may feel that rule of law will not prevail. It’s sufficient to take cognisance of SG. The pressure would not inspire the confidence of people in rule of law.

Bench: Take it that we have read everything. Read whatever is relevant. We have marked them also.

SG: Law Minister remained in court complex when arguments were heard. He was not a party. Confidence of people in justice system would be eroded.

    • 25 May 2021 9:36 AM GMT

SG: I have also invoked 226. 17th May post-production of accused, I will show you this order on page 101. Siege was laid outside CBI office. Thousands of people, stone-pelting. They couldn’t come to present the case before Magistrate. We had to ask HC to present them through VC.

    • 25 May 2021 9:36 AM GMT

      Bench: What is your grievance?

SG: This is not just an application praying for the transfer of case to HC. Come to 32. This is my main prayer. Allow me to place two facts for consideration.
