    A 5-judge bench of the Calcutta High Court is hearing the Narada case related to the bail of four Trinamool Congress leaders- Firhad Hakim, Madan Mitra, Subrata Mukherjee and Sovan Chatterjee- who have been under judicial custody since May 17.

    A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justices IP Mukerji, Harish Tandon, Soumen Sen and Arijit Mukherjee is hearing the applications filed by the arrested leaders seeking recall of the May 17 order passed by the division bench, which had stayed the bail granted to them.

    Solicitor General Tushar Mehta is appearing for the CBI, and Senior Advocates Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Sidharth Luthra and Kalyan Bandopadhyay are appearing for the arrested leaders.

      Solicitor General : I have reservations on interim-bail. If interim bail is to be granted, I have two prayers - Interim bail must be subject to final order of the case. That is, if I succeed, the interim bail must be cancelled.

      Acting Chief Justice : There is one thing we want to put to Mr.Mehta(Solicitor General). There was interim bail granted by trial court, which was stayed. This can't be disputed that some of the arguments in the recall applications and main petition(CBI) will be overlapping.
