Skills and qualifications :

Candidates should have at least two years experience in legal journalism. Persons with law degree will be given preference. Excellent writing skills, sharp legal acumen, good news sense, ability to manage CMS & SEO are necessary.

Job profile :

1. Editing reports about judgments and court hearings. The editing process involves fact-checking, proof-reading, improving readability, choosing the apt heading, highlighting important and news-worthy angles.

2. Coordinating with the reporting team to follow important legal developments. Identify reportable case hearings and judgments.

3. Tracking breaking legal news. 

4. Researching about significant legal topics of news value and preparing simple explainers about them.

5. Working on analytical and opinion pieces about major court developments.

Location : Nature of work is online. Remote working is possible.

Salary : In the range of Rs. 60K - 75 K. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and proven ability.
