Dave: May I submit that he is in Army hospital and he is well protected ? If your Lordships are in hurry. I will not take more time than is needed.

Bench: We are saying that we have gone through the report.

Dave: Edema is present in most adults. It’s a natural occurrence. It’s a health condition.(The medical report of Army Hospital, Secunderabad states Raju had edema and fracture).

Bench: What do you have to say about the fracture ? We are running short of time

Dave: Mr. Nazki(Mahfooz Nazki, AP's standing counsel) was very upset with me when I allowed medical examination. But, as an officer of the court, my duty is to the court and not to the client.

Bench: These things come with maturity.

Dave: Report of the medical board should be kept in sealed cover. See. It’s not that the HC is unmindful of rights of citizens and that only the SC can protect. I said that we would examine, but little did I know that this was a trap.

Dave: I am not saying Army’s report is wrong. Both reports are right. But, something seems to have happened between the two reports

Dave: Today you might say that the head of the medical board is related to X or Y. It was at your instance that Board was constituted. Something seems to have happened between the report of the Board and report of Army.

Dave: Everybody gets their protection. It is only us who don’t get it. Kangana Ranaut gets it. Mukesh Ambani gets it(Z category, Y category security cover). (Dave is referring to Raju's Y category security cover)

Bench: We don’t get it.

Dave: My protection is God and your Lordships.

Dave: Just because he is an MP, he cannot bypass the HC and come here directly. As an officer of the court, I have a responsibility to the Court. But, he already has his protection.

Dave: In another decision, as Rohatgi kept saying that his client is an Hon’ble MP, in 2017, the Supreme Court said “it has been stated that the Petitioner is a 4 time MP. But the law is the same for everyone”

Dave: It’s not so simple a case that Rohatgi is making it out to be. It’s a very serious matter. In 2021, the Court said that bigger the position, the greater is the responsibility.
