    The Karnataka High Court will today continue hearing the petitions challenging Hijab Ban in colleges. Justice Krishna Dixit will continue hearing the matter at 2.30 PM today.

    Yesterday, Senior Advocate Devadatt Kamat had completed arguments for the petitioners (report may be read here). Today, Advocate General is expected to respond.

    Justice Krishna S. Dixit had, at the end of yesterdays hearing, requested the student community and the public at large to refrain from taking onto the streets in connection with the issue.

      Advocate General : Larger bench reference is in the lordhships hand. Now as far as we are concerned, limited research we have made. One question that would arise is to whether present assertion of right, wearing of hijab is essential religious practise.
