    The Karnataka High Court will today continue hearing the petitions challenging Hijab Ban in colleges. Justice Krishna Dixit will continue hearing the matter at 2.30 PM today.

    Yesterday, Senior Advocate Devadatt Kamat had completed arguments for the petitioners (report may be read here). Today, Advocate General is expected to respond.

    Justice Krishna S. Dixit had, at the end of yesterdays hearing, requested the student community and the public at large to refrain from taking onto the streets in connection with the issue.

      Justice Dixit: It is open for the petitioners to seek interim relief after a decision is taken by CJ regarding the constitution of the larger bench.
