Former Judge of Supreme Court judge Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar passed away. He was aged 71 years.
He served as a judge of the Supreme Court from 17 November 2009 – 6 June 2014
He had also served as the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court and a judge at the High Courts of Punjab & Haryana and Bombay.
