    As the air quality in Delhi continues to deteriorate hazardously, the Supreme Court will hear today the case concerning the severe air pollution in NCR.

    A bench of Justices AS Oka and Augustine George Masih will hear the MC Mehta case, in which various directions were issued regarding the air quality of the National Capital Region.

    Last week, the amicus curiae in the matter, Senior Advocate Aparajita Singh, had requested the Court to take up the matter in view of the deteriorating air quality of the national capital.

      Advocate Mendiratta: AQI was 418 at 4 PM on 13th. As per IMD AQI expected to improve.

      J Oka: GRAP III implemented on?

      Adv: 14th.

      J Oka: what business did you have to wait for a day before implementing graph three. That do on the basis of IMD prediction. The moment air quality exceeds 400 it should have been implemented. Precious time was lost and this.
