J Kohli: We are wondering why the UOI chose to keep their eyes shut

J Kohli: You do mention that you gave a notice to them, you chose not to file the reply. We are wondering why?

You said that it is not you and the States, we are impleading them as parties....

Lastly, you yourself had said that the product they come out with them cannot be backed with. What did you do to publicize the same with the common public? 

SG Mehta (For UOI): I can not sit with the clients and I can sit with the counsels...affidavit should have been on record.

J Kohli: If they want to drag their feet then let it be 

SG Mehta (For UOI): We cannot take sides. What I am suggesting is if Your Lordship permits, then I can sit with the counsel and (decide) what can be done.

J Kohli: We will decide that

SG Mehta (For UOI): As an officer of the Court...What has happened should not have happened. It appears that the way the affidavits should have come has not come today. My concern is the ministry of justice..

Singh: I am requesting this Court to note my presence and unconditional apology to the Court

J Kohli: You have to abide by the undertaking given to the Court...You have broken every barrier..Now to say that you are sorry...

Singh: It is going to be a lesson for them

J Kohli: We are not here to teach lessons...they say that they have conducted research they owe a greater explanation and not just to the public but to the Court 

J Kohli: Mr Rohatgi was there, and he said that he will appear for both parties..we made it clear that we will take it seriously...it is not coming as a surprise.

J Amanullah: if they wanted to apologize to the Court, they should have been the first ones to say

Singh: I cannot run away from this court. Can I read a few paragraphs? Can I say with folded hands that the gentleman is present in the Court and the Court may record his apology

Singh: We wanted to apologise in person. The person is present in the court.
