CBI Seeks Arvind Kejriwal's Custody: Live Updates From Hearing

CBI's counsel: I am doing my job, is that unfortunate? Every time the same this is said about the agency. Every time we have passed the test.

CBI's counsel: Suppose there is investigation. I don't have to tell that I am going for investigation. What I've to tell is to my lords that I need custody. Because he is in your lordships custody. There is no mandate anywhere that I have to tell the other side about my desire to investigate.

Chaudhari prays that the hearing be deferred till tomorrow and documents be shared with Kejriwal's legal team so that they can come prepared by tomorrow.

CBI's counsel: Unnecessary allegation. We could have done this exercise before or during elections. We didn't.

It was done only after permission of the court, the interrogation. 

Chaudhari says that the investigating agency has acted in most biased manner.

Chaudhari: A man is in custody in one case. There is settled law that he could be arrested in another case but we are on due process here

Advocate Vivek Jain appears for Kejriwal and says that an application is being filed seeking supply of application for interrogation by CBI and the order passed.

Chaudhari: This is one of the most sensitive cases that will go down in the history and development of jurisprudence as well.
