Kejriwal was granted bail by trial court in ED case which has been stayed by Delhi High Court yesterday.

Matter will be heard by vacation judge Amitabh Rawat of Rouse Avenue Courts.

The Supreme Court will also hear today Arvind Kejriwal's petition challenging the June 21 order of Delhi HC staying his bail. It may be noted that yesterday (June 25), the Delhi HC passed the final order staying the bail, which is yet to be challenged.

CBI counsel: I am coming when I am ready to file a chargesheet.

CBI counsel: With all sense of responsibility, it is necessary. We have given reasons. Section 41A is not only for this man. It is for everybody. Court has accepted prima facie that chargesheets are correct. Cognizance is taken.

CBI counsel: We had already initiated. We were doing our exercise. The evidence has come in parts. Every day my IOs are in court.

CBI counsel: Prior to bail order, his bail is stayed and later that is confirmed. Then I arrested. So where is the question I defeated the purpose? I arrest him after his bail is stayed.

CBI counsel: Agar court puchega kaise policy form hui hain, toh wahi same argument hoga. That won't change.

Jain: It has nothing to do with Mr. Kejriwal. He wasn't holding the portfolio.

    • 26 Jun 2024 8:13 AM GMT

Jain: As far as fabrication of opinions is concerned, how the policy is made. The committee report was placed before public for comments. What was fabricated? Out of 14,000 comments, the allegation is 7 emails were fabricated. They have argued the same thing in Manish Sisodia bail.

Chaudhari: It will become some kind of arbitrary power of an officer and that he can get away with anything. I can't be treated worse than an ordinary person. You can sensationalize the matter, all evidence in thin air.

Chaudhari: Your best evidence is your tainted witnesses.

Advocate Vivek Jain for Kejriwal argues that same arguments were made during the bail of Manish Sisodia.

Mr. Sisodia chargesheet has already been filed. If you're relying on same evidence, how can you arrest me now?: Jain

Chaudhari: I can dispel each material. It's all presumptuous, based upon beliefs and prejudices of this officer.

Chaudhari: He himself is saying that they didn't do it earlier because they didn't want to overreach SC proceeding. I want to ask, why are you waiting for bail order then? It's a sham. It is on them that there is unscrupulous compliance of section 41 and 41A.

Chaudhari: Let the evolution of law go in the right direction. The administration of criminal justice is born from first round of courts.

Chaudhari: This is now virtually your lordships satisfaction because of seven years criteria.
