The police only gave an intimation to Magistrate, who recorded "seen and filed only". There was no order for further investigation : Ponda.

Without any judicial order, the police suo moto intervened in the matter, for obvious reasons that are taking place in Maharashtra, which I do not want to say in open court : Ponda.

Ponda says that the 'A' summary filed by the police in 2019 in the case has been accepted by the Magistrate and that remains on order. That has not been challenged.

Ponda says he just needs 7 minutes.

Justice Shinda says, take 10 minutes.

Ponda : My client is behind bars. The investigation is completely illegal.

Justice Shinde says there is also a petition by the original informant (Adnya Naik) and they also need to be heard. 

Justice Shinde says the bench will not pass any interim order without hearing the respondents. The respondents are entitled to prior notice, the judge says.
