Speaking at the felicitation event organized by the Supreme Court Advocates-On-Record Association (SCAORA) for newly enrolled Advocates-On-Record (AoRs), Supreme Court Judge Justice Surya Kant emphasized the crucial role of Advocates-on-Record (AORs) in the legal system, calling them the "lifeline of the justice delivery system".
Justice Surya Kant discussed the art of persuasive drafting in the legal profession. He advised new AoRs that the art of drafting is not just about stating facts—it is about presenting them in a way that captures the reader's interest. He said that the first paragraph of the draft should create curiosity, compelling the Judge to read further, i.e., Each point should flow seamlessly into the next, ensuring clarity and coherence.
Besides Justice Kant, Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice KV Viswanathan also graced the event.

Justice Maheshwari congratulated the newly appointed AORs and emphasized the importance of thorough case preparation and presenting arguments convincingly to achieve a favorable outcome.
Justice Viswanathan, also present at the event, extended his best wishes to the new AORs, urging them to see this occasion as a reminder of their responsibilities. He encouraged them to strive for excellence and take pride in their profession.

Mr. Vipin Nair, President, SCAORA, Mr. Amit Sharma, Vice President, SCAORA, and Mr. Nikhil Jain, Hony. Secretary SCAORA was also present at the event.
