DGFT Notifies Export Restrictions On Human Hair For FY 2024-25

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified the export restrictions on human hair for FY 2024-25.

With a view to streamline the procedure for issuance of Authorization for export of human hair during 2024-25, subject to Minimum Export Price (MEP) of USD 55000/MT, it has been decided to invite applications from exporters.

The exporters can apply online via DGFT's ECOM system from Feb 16-29, 2024, for export authorization during FY 2024-25, subject to a Minimum Export Price of USD 55000/MT.

Export of human hair under HS Code 0501 of Chapter 05 of ITC (HS), 2018, Schedule – II (Export Policy) will be allowed for the period from April 01, 2024 to March 31, 2025, for the year 2024-25.

Exporters can apply online through DGFT's ECOM system for Export Authorizations (Non-SCOMET Restricted Items).

Online applications for export of human hair under HS Code 0501 filed from February 16, 2024 to February 29, 2024 will only be considered.

DGFT reserves the right to decide or alter the modalities of distribution and allocation as per applications received.

“Deficient applications, applications received through e-mails or by post or received beyond the specified timeline will not be considered,” the notification read.
