RGNUL: 6th National Moot Court Competition Post Event Update

RGNUL organized 6th National Moot Court Competition from 31st March to 2nd April, 2017 at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. The event was inaugurated by worthy Vice-Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswal and followed by introduction of moot proposition by the worthy Registrar Prof.(Dr)G.I.S. Sandhu. Total 40 teams participated from all over India.
The final rounds were adjudged by the Constitution Bench consisting of Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.G.Masih, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Sibal, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court, Prof.(Dr.) GIS Sandhu, Registrar, RGNUL, Prof.(Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, Prof of law, Punjab University, Chandigarh  and Prof. Krishan Mahajan.
The teams are vying for a total prize money of Rs. 30,000/- with the Best Team getting a prize of Rs. 10,000/- the Runners Up receiving Rs.7000/- the Best Speaker Rs.4000/- the Best Memorial Rs.5000/- and the Best Researcher Rs.4000/-
Symbiosis Law College, Pune and AIL, Mohali made it to the final rounds of the National Moot Court Competition. The Chief Guest for the valedictory session was Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.G.Masih Judge, Punjab & Haryana, High Court and the Guest of Honour was Justice Deepak Sibal, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court at the prize distribution function of 6th RGNUL, National Moot Court Competition.
SLS, Pune was adjudged the Best Team & AIL was adjudged as Runners Up.
The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi received the Best Memorial.
The Best Researcher was bagged by SLS Pune.
The Best Speaker was from SLS Noida.
