    ProBono India has invited application for internship from students who are willing to work closely towards the vision and aim of the organization.

    Looking at various problems in the society, many laws have been enacted to cope up with the variety of situations. Many institutions/organizations have been set up which are engaged in various legal aid/awareness activities so that even the marginalized people who cannot afford to hire a lawyer for legal advice or filing a case can receive Justice. ProBono India has been established to provide legal aid services to the people. ProBono India is mentored by N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

    About the Internship:

    The internship will cover tasks that include:

    • Work closely with ProBono India and research on issues and matters concerning the society and law.

    • Locate issues and challenges in the field of law and come up with solutions in the form of research papers/white paper/policy documents/documentaries etc.

    • Develop effective presentations that can communicate the law to the layman easily.

    • Filing RTI Applications, Complaints on different issues.

    • Conduct Legal Aid and Awareness activities in your region.

    • Prepare short film, documentaries etc. on socio-legal issues.

    • Any other matter incidental thereto.


    Desired Skills:

    The intern should have a basic understanding of law as wel as should be keen to conduct research and interpret the law.

    Eligibility:The candidate should be either have graduated from a recognized university or currently pursuing the same. (In case when the candidate is pursuing a 5 year LLB program, he should be a student at least in the 3rd year. In case of 3 year LLB program he/she should be in the 2nd year.)
    LL.M & Ph.D students are also welcome.

    Duration and other Details:

    • The duration of internship is of 2 months

    • Weekly/Fortnightly update of work

    • Students may be requested to leave assignment in absence of satisfactory performance. Students will be given an opportunity of being heard before deciding the matter.

    • Profile on ProBono India website.

    • Papers/Articles/Blog/Documentaries will be published on website, facebook.

    • Certificate of Appreciation on successful completion of tenure.

    • Best 3 interns will get separate certificate. Highlighted on website, social media, magazine. (Half Yearly Basis)
