A Varanasi court on Saturday once again issued a notice to the Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi in a revision plea seeking registration of criminal cases against them for allegedly making controversial remarks in relation to the Gyanvapi Mosque-Kashi Vishwanath Temple Dispute.
Earlier, on March 28, the Court had issued them the notices, however, since no one appeared before the Court, the Court issued them the notices again.
It may be noted that this revision plea has been moved by a Varanasi-based Advocate Hari Shankar Pandey after his earlier plea was dismissed by the court stating that no cognizable offence was shown to have been committed by Yadav and Owaisi.
Against that same order, a revision plea has been moved before the Court of Additional District Judge Anuradha Kushwaha.
It may be noted that in his plea, the revisionist (Advocate Hari Shankar Pandey) has sought registration of an FIR/case against Yadav and Owaisi for allegedly inciting religious hatred by making 'controversial' remarks regarding the structure found inside the Gyanvapi Mosque premises (alleged 'Shiva Linga').
It is his case that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and Owaisi, his brother, and many others were making objectionable remarks against the 'Shiva linga' which resulted in hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
