Umesh Pal Murder| Prime Accused Not A Member Of Association, Media Spreading Misleading News: Allahabad HC Bar Association

The Allahabad High Court Bar Association has issued a clarification that the prime accused in the Umesh Pal Murder Case, Sadakat Khan, who has been arrested by UP Police on conspiracy charges, is not a member of the association, as is being claimed by the media.

Expressing its displeasure over the misleading news being spread in various newspapers and social media that Khan, who is involved in the double murder case, is an advocate practicing before the Allahabad High Court, the HC Bar Association has clarified that such a person (Sdaqat Khan/Sadkat Khan) has never been a member of the Association and that no advocate, who goes by this name has applied for the membership of the Association

Adding that due to the publication/circulation of this type of misleading, factless information, the image of the advocates of the High Court gets tarnished, the Association has added that the Media should have obtained accurate information before publishing such misleading news.

"Before publishing/broadcasting this type of information, the media group should have obtained the real and correct information from the High Court Bar Association. The Association sincerely expects from all media groups that in the future, no factless and baseless information should be published without verifying its veracity. High Court Bar Association is always ready and committed to the interest, respect, and protection of all its respected members."

The allegations against Khan are that he hatched a conspiracy at his room in Muslim Hostel for the killing of Umesh Pal, who was a witness in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case. The sensational daylight murder, which took place in Prayagraj last week, also claimed the life of a UP Police constable, who was deployed in Umesh’s security.
