Second Covid Wave: NCDRC To Function Through Video Conferencing From April 12, Suspends Physical, Hybrid Hearings

In view of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases, the President of the National Commission Disputes Redressal Commission of India (NCDRC) Justice RK Agrawal, today decided to suspend the physical hearing and hybrid hearing of the cases till further orders.
According to the notice released dated 10th April 2021, it has been stated that the cases listed for physical hearings and hybrid hearings before different Benches of the National Commission, from 12th April, 2021 onwards, shall be taken up through video conferencing only.
"The Registry of the National Commission shll continue listing of the Cases for hearing through Video Conferencing in pursuance of the requests received from the interested Ld. Counsel/Parties in terms of the National Commission's Notices dt.2"June, 2020, 9h June, 2020 and 26 June, 2020." The notice reads.
Further directions are as follows:
- The filing/dak shal be accepted and date stamped at Entry gate of the Commission, but the same shall be processed after four days of filing.
- Public dealing shall remain suspended till further orders.
- Some of the staff members of the National Commission shall be allowed to work from home on rotational basis.
