SC Collegium Recommends Elevation Of Five Advocates As P&H HC Judges [Read Resolution]

The Supreme Court collegium on Thursday recommended the elevation of five advocates as the judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court. 

They are :

Jasgurpreet Singh Puri

Suvir Sehgal

Girish Agnihotri

Alka Sarin

Kamal Sehgal

The High Court Collegium had forwarded eight names to the SC collegium last January.

Out of those names, the SC Collegium deferred the proposal to elevate advocates Puneet Bali and Vikas Bahl. The name of Inder Pal Singh Doabia was remitted by the Collegium to the High Court.
