Officers, Officials & Staff Found Roaming Without Mask In HC Premises To Face Disciplinary Action: Allahabad High Court

The Allahabad High Court has directed all its Officers, Officials & Staff of High Court, Allahabad to wear Face-Masks compulsorily. A notification in this regard has been issued by the High court on June 28 and its states:

"All the Officers, Officials & Staff of High Court, Allahabad to wear Face-Masks compulsorily, failing which will attract strict disciplinary action."

The Court had earlier issued an order regarding wearing of Face-masks by the Officers, Officials & Staff of High Court, Allahabad.

However, in its June 28 order, it has been stated that it has observed that the Officers, Officials & Staff of the High Court have been found roaming in the Premises & corridors of rhe High Court without wearing Face-masks.

Further, the order states that the same has been seriously by the Court and that wearing Face-Mask is an important component of COVID-19 Safety Protocol.

Court's order states:

"ln pursuance of Office Memorandum No.1914 dated 25.06.2021 of the Registrar (Protocol), regarding wearing of Face-masks by the Officers, Officials & Staff of High Court, Allahabad, it is observed that the Officers, Officials & Staff of the High Court have been found roaming in the Premises & Corridor of rhe High Court without wearing Face-masks. The Hon'ble Court has viewed the same seriously as wearing Face-Mask is an important component of COVID-19 Safety Protocol. As such, all the Officers, Officials & Staff of High Court, Allahabad to wear Face-Masks compulsorily, failing which will attract strict disciplinary action. The compliance of above order be ensured in letter and spirit"
