The Registrar of Kerala High Court has issued a letter clarifying that no organisation or association will be permitted to get registered at the address of the High Court or the High Court building, unless they provide a consent letter from the High Court.
The letter issued by the Registrar also states that organisations or associations that have registered at the High Court or the High Court building without consent have to change their address.
The Registrar has thus sought a list of organisations or associations from the Secretary of the Kerala High Court Advocates' Association (KHCAA)/Kerala High Court Advocates' Clerks Association that are using the address of the High Court or the High Court building.
This letter is issued based on a complaint filed by the KHCAA alleging that organizations or associations were functioning inside the premises of the High Court without authorization and were using the registered address of the High Court. The letter also alleged that an organisation called the Kerala Federation for Women Lawyers (KFWL), claiming to be affiliated with an International Organisation is unlawfully operating within the High Court premises with the registered address of the High Court.
