NGT Southern Zone Bench To Start Hearing Cases From December 2 [Read Circular]

The Southern Zone Bench of National Green Tribunal at Chennai will be functional from December 2, 2019. As per a notification issued by the Principal bench of the tribunal, Justice K Ramakrishanan has been appointed as Judicial Member while Saibal Dasgupta is appointed as Expert member.

The zonal bench has jurisdiction to hear matters pertaining to substantial question related to Environment, in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Union Territories of Pondicherry and Lakswadeep. The bench was vacant for last two years
