NCLT Invites Applications For Law Research Associates At Various Benches

The National Company Law Tribunal has issued a notification dated 19.01.2023, inviting applications for the position of Law Research Associate at various benches of NCLT. At present the vacancies are for NCLT Jaipur, Guwahati, Kolkata, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Allahabad, Indore, Amravati and Cuttack Benches.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law Graduates whether fresh or experienced, who have passed final year LLB exam with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
- Candidate must be enrolled with any Bar Council and shall possess AIBE certificate.
- The age of candidate shall not be above 30 years as on 18.02.2023, which is the last date of application submission.
- Candidate must have edge of computer operations including retrieval of information from search engines such as SCC Online, Manupatra etc.
Remuneration
The Remuneration for candidates selected in NCLT Jaipur and Chandigarh Bench would be Rs. 50,000/- per month and Rs. 40,000/- per month for all other locations.
Duties and functions
The Law Research Associate shall function as a research associate for the President/Members of NCLT they are associated with. The work would include case law research relevant to specific proceedings; noting down arguments during hearing of cases; preparing synopsis of cases listed before NCLT; and assisting in preparation of draft judgment.
Period of contract
The period of contract will be for 1 year initially, extendable further depending upon performance and requirement. However, the period of engagement will not exceed three years.
Last date for submission of application
The interested candidates are supposed to apply in the prescribed format by 18.02.2023. Applications through email or hand delivery would not be accepted.
