The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a fresh order including more items in the list of activities permissible from April 20 during the period of extended lockdown.
In the Finance Sector, Non-banking financial institutions (NBFCs) including Housing Finance Companies (HFCs) and Micro Finance Insitutions (NBFC-MFIs) with bare minimum staff, and Cooperative Credit Societies have been added to the list. It may be noted that banking operations were already included in the list published on April 15.
Other inclusions :
- Collection, harvesting and processing of Minor Forest Produce and Non Timber Forest Produce by Scheduled Tribes and other forest dwellers in forest ares
- Bamboo, Coconut, Arecanut, Cocoa, spices plantation (Earlier, only rubber, tea and coffee plantations were mentioned).
- Construction activities in rural areas, includes, water supply and sanitation; laying/erection of power transmission lines and telecom optical fiber.
