National Lockdown: Madhya Pradesh HC Benches At Jabalpur & Gwalior To Observe Restrictive Functioning Till April 20; HC Bench At Indore & Subordinate Courts Till May 3 [Read Notification]

In view of extension of the lockdown period until May 3, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has extended the period of restricted functioning accordingly.
As per a circular issued at the directions of Chief Justice AK Mittal, the High Court bench at Indore and all the subordinate courts including Family courts in the state will observe restrictive functioning until May 3, 2020.
For this, operation of the order dated March 25 whereby instructions for conducting hearings via video conferencing were issued, has been extended.
The said order stipulated that under the prevailing circumstances, only urgent matters will be taken up, with the permission of the Chief Justice in case of the High Court and the District Judge or Principal Judge, Family Court or In-charge Officer thereof in case of Subordinate Court or Family Courts.
Notably, the operation of this circular for the High Court benches at Jabalpur and Gwalior have been extended till April 20 only, the date set by the Central government to review the situation and grant some relaxations accordingly.
