In view of the "unceasing" effect of COVID-19 virus, the Meghalaya High Court has decided that normal functioning of the High Court and Courts subordinate to it will remain suspended till June 30, 2020.
It is intimated by way of a Circular that the Courts will function as per the modalities already notified for taking up matters of extremely urgent nature.
Further, a Judicial order has been passed by a Division Bench of the High Court of its own motion, extending all the interim order passed by the High Court or the Subordinate Courts, District Council Courts and all other Tribunals in the State, that were subsisting as on March 20, till June 15, 2020. the order has been passed by Justice HS Thangkhiew and Justice W. Diengdoh.
