A NEET candidate has approached the Kerala High Court alleging that the OMR sheet attached to her application number has been manipulated.
Justice N. Nagaresh directed the National Testing Agency to conduct an enquiry into the matter after taking note of all the discrepancies on the produced OMR sheet.
The NTA was also directed to consider the entire materials produced on record and to submit a report on the investigation before 8th November.
The petitioner has alleged that on the OMR sheet attached to her application number, her signature of the petitioner is seen manipulated. She put forth the contentions with absolute conviction and honesty, being well-aware of the consequences arising from making such statements.
Advocate Rajit appearing for the petitioner also argued that the names of her father and mother as seen on the OMR sheet were not marked by her. It was pointed out that while her mother's name is Mini John C., on the OMR sheet, it was shown as Mini Johna C.
He added that the petitioner also had serious doubt regarding the left-hand thumb impression seen in the OMR sheet.
Further, the roll number of the petitioner in the numerical does not tally with the bubbled portion.
Bringing the attention of the Court to these aspects, the petitioner alleged that the writings on the OMR sheet are not that of hers.
The petitioner had accordingly sought a direction to the National Testing Agency to forthwith produce the original OMR of the petitioner in the NEEt examination conducted on 12th September 2021.
