Kerala HC To Re-open From May 18 After Mid-Summer Recess; To Arrange Transport Services [Read Office Memorandum]

The Kerala High Court has announced that it will reopen the court premises from May 18, 2020, i.e. after the mid-summer vacation, 2020, subject to Government restrictions.
To facilitate movement to the High Court, pick and drop conveyance faculties will be made available between the High Court and different locations in the district, in coordination with the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
"Those who avail the faculty shall follow the instructions/ guidelines fixed by the KSRTC authorities in this regard and no complaints in this regard will be entertained."
Details of the transport faculty as well as arrangement for duty wrt to Govt orders on staff attendance will be made available on the High Court website.
Further it is intimated that parcel facilities at limited scale may be made available by the High Court Staff Canteen, subject to restrictions imposed by the Registry.
During the summer recess period, the High Court had been hearing urgent cases via video-conferencing through Zoom app. The Court dealt with several issues of larger public interest such as the Kerala-Karnataka border blockade, Sprinklr deal, salary deferment, ordinance on salary deferment, return of expatriates, entry for Keralites stranded at Walayar border etc., during this period.
