Chief Justice Abhay Oka and other judges of the Karnataka High Court assembled near the front lawn of the High Court at Principal Bench to observe two minutes silence to pay homage to the members of legal fraternity, who succumbed to COVID19.
"Due to COVID-19 pandemic, in the entire State, we have lost 218 members of Advocates' fraternity, 5 staff members of the High Court and 24 staff members of District and Trial Courts", the Chief Justice said.
The Chief Justice of India NV Ramana recently said that 34 judicial officers and 3 High Court judges have lost their lives battling the pandemic.
