HC Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19, Indore Bench Of Madhya Pradesh HC Closed Down Till May 3 [Read Notification]

The Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Monday was declared closed till May 3 after one employee of its Registry was tested positive for COVID1-19.
In a statement, the High Court said the hearing of cases through Video Conferencing for the period of lockdown up to 03/05/2020 will remain suspended, only at Indore Bench.
"As per the information received, there are more than 1000 corona positive cases and 171 hotspots are identified in Indore City out of which 20 are declared highly sensitive. One employee of Indore Bench Registry has been found positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) and some of the officials have been quarantined.
Therefore, looking to the present scenario and spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Indore City, Hon'ble the Chief Justice has been pleased to suspend the hearing of cases through Video Conferencing for the period of lockdown up to 03/05/2020 only at Indore Bench," the statement read.
Hearings via video conferencing at the Principal Seat in Jabalpur and at the Gwalior Bench will continue as such.
The Rajasthan High Court was also closed on Saturday until expiry of the lockdown period after one of its key officials, sitting close to judges during the judicial proceedings, was tested positive for COVID1-19.
