Gujarat High Court Notifies Fresh Roster; Filing Restricted To Urgent Cases Only

The Gujarat High Court has notified a fresh sitting arrangement of Benches that will hear cases via video conferencing, between April 26 and April 30.
It is also intimated that e-filing mode as well as physical filing mode is continued only for extremely urgent matters.
Roster:
Apart from two Division Benches, the High Court has notified eight Single Benches and their respective roster. Some are listed below:
- Matters pertaining to Parole, Furlough, Cancellation of Bail, Anticipatory Bail Applications and all other Single Judge Criminal Matters shall be heard by Justice Paresh Upadhyay.
- Applications for regular bail, matters arising from order regarding bail passed in pending matters by Subordinate Courts and matters pertaining to conditions of bail granted by Subordinate Courts shall be taken up by Justice SH Vora.
- Special Criminal Applications under Article 226 & 227 of the Constitution and Applications under Section 482 CrPC to be heard by Justice Vipul M. Pancholi.
- Service, Education and Land matters to be listed before Justice Biresn Vaishnav.
A Division Bench comprising of Justices RM Chhaya and NV Anjaria to hear all Civil matters.
Division Bench of Justices Sonia Gokani and Vaibhavi D. Nanavati to hear all Criminal matters.
Other instructions:
Pending date fixed and returnable matters, except Habeas Corpus, Temporary Bail, Parole, Furlough, Jail Matters, will not be listed on particular dates.
However, Advocates/ Parties concerned who desire to proceed with the matters may make a mention through online Mentioning Platform, citing extreme urgency.
