Gujarat High Court Extends ‘Email My Case Status’ Service To Police Stations For Automatic Updates On Cases

With the new development and through the expansion of the service, all 763 police stations in Gujarat will start receiving automatic email updates whenever a case involving an FIR relating to the police station gets listed, adjourned or is disposed of by the High Court. The police stations will also get orders and judgements of the cases as separate PDF attachments in the EMCS email updates.

The High Court in a press release said the new initiative will be instrumental in "curtailing any delays in compliance/action required to be taken by the respective police stations" in the state.

Additionally, the police stations will also soon get an online dashboard of statistics of their pending cases along with information on next listing, disposal and orders and judgements in their cases. "This online dashboard will serve as a complete portfolio of the High Court cases relevant to be followed up by the respective Police Station for effective and efficient tracking and compliance of Court orders," the high court said in a notification.
