    A new litigant-centric Service named Email My Case Status (EMCS) Live Portfolio by which litigants and lawyers can get digitally signed e-certified copies of the judgments is being launched on the Gujarat High Court Case Status Portal.

    The service is being introduced as per the guidance and direction of the Acting Chief Justice and Judges of the IT Committee of the High Court, the IT Cell of the high court said in a circular. 

    All registered users of EMCS Live Portfolio can apply online through this portfolio for digitally signed e-certified copies of any order or judgment of the High Court of Gujarat and the payment of charges would be accepted online through Netbanking, UPI and Credit Cards, according to the high court authorities. 

    The new litigation-centric service will ensure supply the digitally signed e-certified copy within two working days of successful payment of charges, the IT Cell said.

    "The e-certified copy including the facility of cross verification of authenticity through QR Code, once prepared, will become available automatically in the live portfolio and shall also bes ent in email to the applicant. The charges for the e-Certified copy would be the same as the ordinary charges currently applied and will be paid online only," it said in the circular.

    The EMCS Live Portfolio also offers several other functionalities that will enable all EMCS subscribers and lawyers to access real-time updates of pending and disposed cases while also getting a dashboard view of their whole portfolio including listed and upcoming cases. 

    According to the circular issued by the Registrar General, this unique service aims to provide an enhanced user experience to all stakeholders of the portal, including Advocates, Government Pleaders and Public Prosecutors, Government Departments, Police Stations, Jails, parties appearing in person and individual subscribers of EMCS service of the High Court of Gujarat.
