Gujarat HC Constitutes New Benches To Hear Bail Applications, Detention Matters [Read Circular]

A Circular has been issued by the Gujarat High Court for the constitution of new Single Judge Benches and Division Bench from 15th April, 2020 onwards.

As per an Order passed by the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, additional Single Judge Benches and Division Benches will be constituted to hear pending bail applications, temporary bail applications, both of under trial prisoners and also in pending appeals, anticipatory bail applications and preventive detention matters, in addition to similar fresh matters being filed.

Advocates seeking to get their matters listed and heard have been requested to send an email to the High Court Registry, Office of the Public Prosecutor, Government Pleader and Assistant Solicitor General.

Matters will be listed accordingly before the appropriate Benches upon receipt of such request.
