Four new judges were sworn-in as additional judges in the Kerala High Court on Thursday.
Justices Murali Purushothaman, Ziyad Rahman, Karunakaran Babu and Dr. Kauser Edappagath took oath as Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court, for two years.
Chief Justice S. Manikumar administered the oath of office.
With their appointment, the judges strength of High Court rose to 40 as against the approved strength of 47.

It was on September 14, 2020, that the Supreme Court collegium recommended their names for appointment as additional judges in the High Court. On February 22, the President of India notified their appointments, accepting the Collegium recommendations.
Justices Murali Purushothaman and Ziyad Rahman were advocates practicing in the High Court of Kerala.
Justices K Babu and Kauser Edappagath were judicial officers before their elevation.
