    A Delhi Court on Thursday remanded three lawyers, accused in yesterday’s firing incident at Tis Hazari Court, to four days of police custody.

    Advocates Sachin Sangwan, Aman Singh and Ravi Gupta were arrested today after an FIR was registered regarding the incident for the offences under sections 147, 148, 149, 307 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act.

    “Four days days PC is granted. It is directed to investigating agency (Delhi Police) that no accused be subjected to any torture during police custody,” Metropolitan Magistrate Chatinder Singh said in the order.

    Handing over their custody to the concerned Investigating Officer, the court directed that the medical examination of all three accused be done as per the relevant rules.

    “All the guidelines of Hon'ble Apex Court be complied with,” the court added, while listing the matter for July 10.

    The Bar Council of Delhi yesterday took suo-moto cognizance of the firing incident and also suspended the license of a lawyer who was identified in a video that got viral on the social media.

    In another notice issued today, the lawyers’ body suspended license of another lawyer who has been identified.

    Advocates Karan Sachdeva and Deepak Sharma appeared for accused Aman Singh. Advocate Satish Sangwan appeared for accused Sachin Sangwan. Advocates Arjun Anand and Sanjay Sharma appeared for accused Ravi Gupta.
