    A Delhi Court on Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea moved by wrestler Sushil Kumar accused of murder, attempt to commit culpable homicide in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Sagar Ratna at Chhatrasal Stadium.

    Additional Sessions Judge Jagdish Kumar pronounced the order after hearing Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra appearing on behalf of Satish Kumar and Additional Public Prosecutor Atul Shrivastava for the State.

    "In the present case the allegations against thea applicant accused are serious in nature. From the perusal of record of investigation so far, it reveals that prima facie the applicant/accused is the main conspirator and FIR is not an encyclopedia. The investigation is still going on and some of the accused persons have not been arrested so far. The NBWs has already been issued against the applicant/accused. The Court is not making any observations on the facts as submitted before Court because it is the stage of anticipatory bail and giving any observation may prejudice the parties vice versa. The statement of the eye witnesses are there. So at this stage, the Court does not inclined to grant anticipatory." Court observed while rejecting the bail plea.

    The Delhi Police on Monday announced Rs. 1 lakh reward for any information or leads leading to Sushil Kumar's arrest in the murder case. Similarly, a reward of Rs. 50,000 wa announced for information as regards to the co accused Ajay.

    The Delhi Police had registered an FIR under sec. 302 (punishment for murder) and sec. 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the murder.

    A Delhi Court on Saturday issued non bailable warrant against Sushil Kumar after he is on a run in the case.

    Reportedly, Sagar Rama, who had been training at the iconic Chhatrasal Stadium, died while two of his friends got injured after they were allegedly assaulted by Sushil Kumar and some other wrestlers on May 4, at the Chhatrasal Stadium premises in Delhi.

    It has also been reported that victims in the case have alleged that Sushil Kumar was present at the spot when the incident took place. The victims, in their statements, have alleged that Sushil and his associates abducted Sagar from his house in Model Town to teach him a lesson for bad-mouthing him in front of other wrestlers, police had said.
