A Delhi Court on Friday remanded fifth accused, arrested yesterday in a UAPA case registered over yesterday's security breach in the Parliament, to seven days of police custody.

Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur of Patiala House Courts passed the order after the accused, Lalit Jha, the alleged master-mind of the conspiracy, was produced in court in presence of a SWAT team.

Public Prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh appearing for the Delhi Police submitted that followed by his arrest yesterday, Jha disclosed about his involvement in the matter and how he was the “master-mind” of the entire conspiracy.

Singh sought 15 days of police remand for Jha, submitting that manner in which the conspiracy was hatched needs to be unearthed and a detailed investigation will be required.

He also said that the accused persons in the case belong to different places and thus, they have to be taken to various places.

Singh also said that the mobile phones have to be recovered which were allegedly destroyed by Jha.

Yesterday, the court remanded four co-accused persons, Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Neelam Verma and Amol Shinde, to seven days of police remand.

In a major security breach on the anniversary of 2001 Parliament terror attack yesterday, two persons jumped into the chamber of Lok Sabha from the public gallery when the Zero Hour was in session. The duo was identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D.

In the photographs and videos that surfaced on social media, the two were seen holding canisters which released yellow gas. They were also shouting slogans. However, they were overpowered by some of the Member of Parliaments (MPs).

Two other accused, identified as Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, also sprayed coloured gas from similar canisters outside the premises of the Parliament. They were reportedly shouting "tanashahi nahi chalegi.”
