Oka of the Karnataka High Court on Thursday addressed a letter to the Bar and litigants announcing the launch of a Telegram channel that would serve the High Court and the District judiciary of 30 districts in the State.     Chief Justice Abhay S. Oka of the Karnataka High Court on Thursday addressed a letter to the Bar and litigants announcing the launch of a Telegram channel that would serve the High Court and the District judiciary of 30 districts in the State. Furthermore, a 'Telegram Chatbot' has also been developed for the High Court and has been named as 'Karnataka High Court Virtual Case Information Services' (HCKChatBot).

    The Telegram channel would facilitate the real-time delivery of various E-court services such as cause lists, case status, daily notifications, display boards of the High Court and other important activities of the Karnataka judiciary.

    Further, the letter mentioned that HCKChatBot can be used as a Virtual Enquiry Counter to avail different services and easily access a variety of information such as Case Status, Daily orders, Certified Copy Status, Current Hearing, and Passed Over Cases of the High Court.

    Till date over 6500 members have subscribed to the High Court channel and across the State in over 30 districts more than 5000 members have already subscribed to the District Judiciary channels.

    Highlighting the requirement of citizen-friendly E-Court services the Chief Justice observed in the letter,

    "I hope that the Bar members and litigant public find these citizen centric e-services of the High Court and District Judiciary in Karnataka useful. The service will be available through their hand held devices which will empower them with real-time information in the digital age. I also hope that all of you will find this information platform interesting and informative. I request all of you to make maximum use of these services."
