Centre Notifies Appointment Of Uma Shanker Vyas As Rajasthan High Court Judge

The Central government has notified the appointment of a judicial officer Uma Shanker Vyas as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court. The appointment has been made pursuant to the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium last month.

Apart from Vyas, seven others were also recommended for appointment as judges of the Rajasthan High Court at the time.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the President, is pleased to appoint Shri Uma Shanker Vyas, to be a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office", the notification issued by the Law Ministry stated.
