Centre Notifies Appointment Of Five Judicial Officers As Judges Of Gujarat High Court

The Central Government today notified the appointment of five Judicial Officers as judges of the Gujarat High Court. Their names are:

(1) Susan Valentine Pinto,

(2) Hasmukhbhai Dalsukhbhai Suthar,

(3) Jitendra Champaklal Doshi,

(4) Mangesh Rameshchandra Mengdey, and

(5) Divyeshkumar Amrutlal Joshi

The above-named judicial officers were recommended for elevation by the Supreme Court Collegium in its March 2 resolution after taking into account (i) the report of the Judgment Committee of the High Court which has assessed the judgments of the candidates under consideration; (ii) the report of the Intelligence Bureau; and (iii) the opinion of the consultee-judges with regard to the suitability of the officers.
