Centre Notifies Appointment Of 7 Judicial Officers As Judges Of Patna High Court

The Central government on Wednesday notified the appointment of seven judicial officers as judges of the Patna High Court. The Central government on Wednesday notified the appointment of seven judicial officers as judges of the Patna High Court.
They are as follows,
Shailendra Singh, Judicial Officer
Arun Kumar Jha, Judicial Officer
Jitendra Kumar, Judicial Officer
Alok Kumar Pandey, Judicial Officer
Sunil Datta, Judicial Officer
Chandra Prakash Singh, Judicial Officer
Chandra Shekhar Jha, Judicial Officer
A notification to that effect was issued by the Department of Justice of the Union Law Ministry on Wednesday evening.
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Shailendra Singh, (ii) Arun Kumar Jha, (iii) Jitendra Kumar, (iv) Alok Kumar Pandey, (v) Sunil Dutta Mishra, (vi) Chandra Prakash Singh, and (vii) Chandra Shekhar Jha, to be Judges of the Patna High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices," the notification said.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 4th May, 2022 had approved the proposal for elevation of the aforementioned Judicial Officers as Judges in the Patna High Court.
In exercise of the power conferred under the Constitution of India, Hon. President of India, in consultation with Hon.
