    The Bihar Judicial Academy on Tuesday organized an online condolence meeting in the memory of the following five Judicial Officers that it lost to Covid-19 virus.

    1) Late Durgesh Mani Tripathy, then Principle Judge, Family Court, Muzaffarpur.

    2) Late Piyush Kumar Srivastava, then ADJ, Rohtas at Sasaram.

    3) Late Amit Kumar Tiwary, then Sub Judge ACJM Patna.

    4) Late Manish Kumar, then Railway Magistrate, Kiul.

    5) Late Deepak Kumar, then Judicial Magistrate, Khagaria.

    The meeting was presided by Chief Justice Sanjay Karol of the Patna High Court who is also the patron-in-Chief of the Bihar Judicial Academy.

    The Chief Justice expressed his sorrow and shock at the untimely death of five 'brilliant officers' and fondly remembered his interactions with them. He assured the bereaved families of the Late officers of all help and cooperation.

    The Chief Justice also cautioned all the Judicial Officers to follow all Covid related protocols and to get themselves inoculated at the earliest.

    The meeting was also attended by Justice Ashwani Kumar Singh (Chairman Bihar Judicial Academy), who warmly remembered the individual traits of these officers

    Justice Vikash Jain and other Judges of the Patna High Court were also present in the meeting along with over 900 Judicial offices including the Registrar General of the Patna High Court.

    The Director of the Bihar Judicial Academy, Jitendra Kumar, also expressed his pain at the loss of such bright and talented officers and paid glowing tributes to them.

    District and Sessions Judge at Patna, Sunil Dutt Mishra, District & Sessions Judge at Lakhisarai, Chandra Prakash Singh, District and Sessions Judge at Khagaria, Kumud Ranjan Singh, I/c District and Sessions Judge Muzaffarpur, Rakesh Malviya, I/c District and Sessions Judge Rohtas at Sasaram, Gopal Jee also paid homage to the departed souls.
